Story of Fred (New Graduate)
Story of Fred (New Graduate) Fred graduated from a renown Canadian University with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He accomplished great academic achievements. Fred was on the Dean's list upon graduation, a feat which is not easy to do. He had many job interviews however, for some reason, he wasn't able to secured any job offers after many months upon graduating. Fred finally sort the help of a career advisor and soon realized there are a very critical flaw to his interviewing approach.
In each of his interview, he would not look into the interviewer's eyes and speak in a monotone voice. Even if Fred is very passionate about the prospective job position, he lacks the ability to show his enthusiasm and commitment to the role. The sense that an interviewer would get from Fred is that he doesn't seem to want the job.
After a series of coaching session on improving his interview skills, Fred is able to confidently perform exceptionally and delineates his skills and abilities effectively and most importantly, display his enthusiasm for the job position. Needless to say, Fred was able to find a job very soon after receiving coaching to improve his interviewing skills.
